don't kid yourselfReader comment on item: Islam's Future Submitted by tom (United Kingdom), Jan 11, 2007 at 14:20 the idea that the west is scared of islam is absurd. theres been few major attacks in the west - the so called jihad against them is predominately taking place in the middle east. across the cottage homes, the prospersous towns, ctiy centres and leafy suburbs of Uk, France, Germany, USA, etc, modern, western democracies, islam is barely given a second thought outside the media. its not my conflict. its blair's and bush's. its not my jihad, its al qaida's. bin ladens a figure of fun in schools across the land and despised throughout many muslim communities. don't get me wrong, im more than slightly disturbed by the actions of western democracies and islamic fascists - and they are fascist - but in between watching TV and surfing the net as well as scratching my behind i don't really have the time to be scared. thats just the way it is...
