Islam means "Peace"Reader comment on item: Islam's Future Submitted by Abuanas (Pakistan), Mar 5, 2008 at 01:04 Dear Brother Dominic Thanks for your comments on my post. May I correct you that the word "Islam" is derived from the word "salam" in Arabic which means " became secured" so by this way "Islam" means "Peace". In Arabic some words have multiple meanings so "submission" is also the meaning of "Islam". Let me clear it that the "Islam" never failed rather "muslim states" failed. Why? because the leaders of such countries are not following Islam nor they are ready to implement Islam in its true spirit in their countries but they are following Western World for their vested interests. If you want to see true picture and success of Islam read the history of Islamic era of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and his companions period after him. God has promised success of here and hereafter for those who will follow Islam in its true spirit and not to those who are not practising muslim. Non-muslims who are accepting Islam and following it in its true spirit are far better than non-practising muslims. So you better judge Islam by studying its sacred scripture and the life of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and not the present Islamic leaders. As far as terrorism is concerned, you better read my earlier post carefully again and try to answer my questions. God bless you.
