Reply to post from "A Muslim" 8.20.02Reader comment on item: Islam's Future Submitted by Edward (Austria), Sep 23, 2003 at 12:47 Judging by the passages of the Quran you choose to quote, it seems that you have misunderstood the subject of the debate. The debate is not about warning or not warning non-believers about the fact that they are (according to the Quran) mistaken in their disbelief. The debate is about what the future is for your religion, not with regards to its holy texts (which will stay the same), but with regards to its political and social dimensions. The verses you quote do not instruct you to refrain from debating politics with non-muslims. And so, the original question remains unanswered. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
