hmmmmReader comment on item: Islam's Future Submitted by brian v (United States), Aug 14, 2002 at 09:20 At this time the issue is probably more critical for Europeans than for Americans, there now being an Islamic country in the heart of Europe. Most of Europe's massive third world immigration is from Moslem countries, and is challenging or will soon challenge the native European culture for cultural dominance. Most of America's immigration at this point is from Hispanic countries, which doesn't yield the sort of fundamental cultural conflict the Europeans face. Still, America will get there eventually.Even if it is possible to 'modernize' Islamic culture ( by introducing them to abortion and birth control?) it is an entire civilization we are talking about.
