Reader comment on item: Islam's Future

Submitted by Slappy (United States), Dec 11, 2002 at 11:07

Democracy will collapse? Democracy has been with us in one form are another since before Christ and before Muhammed. It keeps coming back for the downtrodden to use as a tool to fight religious zealotry and thus will it always be so. Religion is on the outs as a politcal arena because it's divisive. Religion should be kept private and out of the state. KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.

Democracy is antethema to ignorance and its the future of humanity, not Islam or any other religion.
