Yuval, not just naivete: the islamist-left alliance goes for islamic votes, a very practical goal that is. As we write local elections in NL are hot. You have the Green Left (Groen links) party with arabic posters: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rijnmond/4361796357/ PVDA (social democrats) with turkish posters: http://www.volkskrant.nl/multimedia/archive/00180/poster_180572a.jpg Dutch paper Algemeen Dagblad today with an article about Geert Wilders speaking during the Almere (a city) elections: http://www.ad.nl/ad/nl/1012/Binnenland/article/detail/466188/2010/02/25/Geert-Wilders-haalt-fel-br-uit-naar-Arabische-PvdA.dhtml quote: ,,Mijn speech wordt aan het einde van de avond aan de aanwezige PvdA-leden in het Arabisch uitgereikt.' endquote: tranlating: " At the end of the evening my speech wil be handed to the present PVDA-members in arabic." My comments: Wilders, of course in an ironic fashion, is complaining about the social democrats using a non-official language for campaigning. The fight against islamism is right here right now.
