Waging war to drum up popularity is a foolish plan

Reader comment on item: How to Save the Obama Presidency: Bomb Iran

Submitted by Ghulam Muhammed, Mumbai (India), Feb 2, 2010 at 08:40

What a ... way to drum up public support. ... US is still not out of woods from the 2 wars it is still engaged in. It has spent trillions of public money in these misguided and most inefficient way to conduct a war and that too for dubious objectives that are not proving to be a mirage.Obama will be foolish if he starts a third war. US financial, economic and social conditions cannot sustain any such misadventure. War on Iran will be one more nail in the coffin of America's supremacy in world affairs.
