Obama loathes the military too much to make war on Iran successful

Reader comment on item: How to Save the Obama Presidency: Bomb Iran

Submitted by Daniel Garrett (United States), Feb 3, 2010 at 00:57

At first thought, I really want to support your thinking here. However, upon deeper thinking on this subject I conclude that the last thing we need is a president that loathes the military determining when to take us to war. As a Leftist, he would rather see the US military fail...so he would approve the attack, but then make sure there were not enough resources necessary to make it successful, or to re-build from it. We would either fail (think Jimmy Carter rescue attempt on hostages) or be vulnerable to a counter-attack and things would be worse than ever. May God save us from these types of leaders. Let's only hope and pray that he would see the folly of going into a venture such as this at anything less than full commitment of all of our resources to make it a total success. Otherwise, God help us.
