Reader comment on item: May an American Comment on Israel?

It is ridiculous to restrict serious commentary to only people who live in Israel,The advantage that a non Israeli commentator has, is that he or she is removed from the day to day emotion and shouting, and thus approaches the issue in a different balanced manner.

In the case of Dr. Pipes he is both knowledgeable and professional. And he wishes israel well. Keep speaking out Mr. Pipes.Israel often needs the advice of a doctor.
