Any other country, I would say no.Reader comment on item: May an American Comment on Israel? Submitted by Steve (United States), Aug 3, 2008 at 07:12 "May I, an American citizen living in the United States, comment publicly on Israeli decision making?" If you were talking about any other country I would say it would be extremely rude to make any public comments regarding the internal domestic politics of another country. It's their country, it's their business, and politeness would dictate not to "tell them what to do" . But since lots of people in Israel has this so called "dual citizenship" with the US (they shouldn't but they do), and because we send Israel so much money, and since they so often involve themselves in US politics through organizations like AIPAC and other pro-Israel/Jewish groups, and since our alliance with them have gotten us into wars we might have otherwise not had to fight, in regards to Israel, I would say it's the exception to the rule. But as a rule, no you shouldn't publicly comment on the domestic politics of another country. That is why it has made me so mad to see Obama in Germany and McCain in Mexico. They are supposed to be running for the President of the United States, not the President of Germany and/or Mexico. And I heard that McCain even had a fundraiser in England. Since when do American politicians have fundraisers on foreign soil? Whenever it started it was wrong then and should be illegal now!
