Round and round it goes... an eye for an eye making the whole world die

Reader comment on item: More on Those Alcohol-shy Taxi Drivers
in response to reader comment: American weapons vs. Russian weapons (Israeli civilians vs. Arab civilians)

No mischief on my part my friend. Moshe broached the subject of islamist suicide bombers as if the muslim taxi drivers and their bias was somehow an entre to giving America over to become a caliphate. I reject such knee-jerk extremism now and always. The insistence of such ideological extremists on all sides only allows the worst elements to continue falsely framing the debate. I reject this nonsense as well.

The fact is, most muslims and christians are peace loving and pragmatic, but, the media only focuses on the extremes because conflict sells thereby drawing us all in to be defined by the lowest common denominator as opposed to our greatest peace-loving potential. Moshe, I don't have the time to waste on your last lecture. I skipped to the last paragraph and read your purple-faced mischaracterization of my critique as a 'blood libel'. Go peddle such trash if you must, but I for one am not buying. How convenient it must be for you to re-write history in whatever image your hate-driven invective chooses.

Facts, unfortunately for you, are indeed stubborn things. Jewish nationalists did indeed explode the King David Hotel back in the forties to chase out the brits, incurring dozens of civilian casualties, and this was not an isolated act of terror on their part. Shouting 'blood libel' does not change the facts. But don't take my word for it, go read the history for yourself. Would you also deny that Israeli forces have been killing palestinian civilians at a three to one ratio for decades? Again, check out some objective statistics on such 'blood libel' if you dare. The solution will never exist in trying to foist some false superior morality against your enemies. The solution will only be born of the wisdom which awakens enemies to the deepest of all ironies... that those they seek to anhilate are indeed their own family members and that hatred and violence only feeds more of the same.

As for bringing the Palestinian issue into this forum... do you really think the stupid taxi driver point is worthy of this much discussion? Only to the extent that it leads us to more meaningful and root level subject matter, which the arab/israeli conflict clearly represents, for once peace is finally made in the holy land, arab extremism everywhere will be diminished and be akin to malignant tumors which are properly shrunken before their removal.
