The only way to beat Islamic rule is to defy it instead of submitting to it. If every newspaper and TV station had show the cartoons, we would have won that battle for freedom of speech. As it is, it looks to me like we lost it. The situation seems pathetic. I don't recall a single major "main stream" public figure urging us to defy rather than submit: not Bush, not the Clintons, not Kerry.... I think George Washington and Tom Paine would be disgusted with us.
