Saddam's choice.

I must applaud your article, which offers balance to the madness of the anti-warlords.

How can the USA be criticised for trying to stop the cycle of 1000 deaths a month, which the anti-war mongers quote as numbers of Iraqi children dying from sanctions?!

Surely the figures contradict the argument that they are trying to make about war.

Saddam made his choice when he chose arms over food, and palaces lined in gold, rather than obeying the UN resolutions for disarmament of his weapons program.

Thank god enough countries with political and economic ambitions, have the power and the courage to stand up to these dictators. Maybe one day the rest of the world will enjoy the freedom and prosperity that some of us unfortunately take for granted.
