You've painted with too broad a brushReader comment on item: Why the Left Loves Osama [and Saddam, Explains Lee Harris] Submitted by Alyn Wambeke (United States), Mar 21, 2003 at 10:55 ...you've painted with far too broad a brush, and taken a few people's comments way out of context. To say that author Norman Mailer called the 9/11 terrorists "brilliant" is to ignore the context in which he said it. Mr. Mailer, whatever else his faults, decried the attack, as all reasonable and compassionate people do. He merely pointed out that the evil the men did that day was brilliantly targeted for maximum damage to our national psyche. By quoting him out of context, and by quoting a few other fringe liberals as being representative of me and my friends, does us - and the tone of our national debate - a disservice.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
