Left Today Is Utilizing Old School Lennist TacticsReader comment on item: Why the Left Loves Osama [and Saddam, Explains Lee Harris] Submitted by Steven Stern (United States), Mar 19, 2003 at 10:20 Fine points as always from Mr. Pipes. However, the left's love of the Islamo-fascists also descends from Lenin's formulation during World War I of "converting the imperialist war into civil war." This means that whenever your country is at war you support its enemies, in order to weaken your country's civil society and hope for its defeat in order to ensure the revolutions victory. This was also the Left's formula in Vietnam. This is one of the reasons France fell so quickly during World War II. At that time the Soviet Union was in a quasi-alliance with Nazi Germany. The left opposed French intervention in a "bourgeois war" and sapped France's will and strength. Exactly what the left is doing today here in the United States.
