That is the iron law of nature. And conversely, the greater the production the lesser its value. That is the iron law of the market." By this logic we are all the descendants of the weak and foolish. An interesting thesis, especially since I recall some research that city dwelling populations, so called civilized people, did not reproduce themselves in ancient civilizations but were rather replenished by periodic influxes from the more healthy and prolific countryside dwellers. But just because we decadent ones are doomed in the long run does not mean we should surrender prematurely without a fight.
