UAE and other nations shied away from islamic influence ? i find it difficult to fathom, having lived much of past two years in UAE , Bahrain , Qatar etc , these are very much islamic societies.
i find your GDP per capita comparisons difficult to digest too . Luxemborg's GDP per capita is greater than united kingdom and france combined .what does this mean ? nothing ..its just small:) ..i doubt 90% of world's population has even heard of luxemborg.
