Pro-Israeli DemocratReader comment on item: Pipes calls war a success Submitted by Sword of Islam & The Babies of Beslan (United Kingdom), Apr 11, 2006 at 07:16 Nuclear South Korea became a lot less beligerent once war was declared (remember their sabre rattling while the UN procrastinated over Iraq?) If you think Iraq, which was always regarded as a comparatively secular Arab country, has been troublesome imagine how extreme the reaction would be if we attacked the most holy place in Islamic ideology. There would be Jihadis EVERYWHERE! Not a good idea unless one goes ALL the way and public support is far too fickle to take that chance!Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
