Maybe More Folks in US should take time to read Georges Sada's Book.Reader comment on item: Pipes calls war a success Submitted by Kathy (United States), Jan 2, 2007 at 22:11 I have a son, my only son, in the military, although he has not been sent to Iraq, I have no illusions that this could still occur at some point in his enlistment. My husband and I were becoming anti- the Iraq war, still don't like war, no one should, but after reading Mr. Sada's account of the situation in Iraq under Saddam Hussein and his abuse of power I am convinced that we did the right thing. As far as Saddam himself, I personally believe that he got off much too easy being strung up (hung), will not go into what I believe should have been done with him. Unfortunately, I now see that there is a need for our soldiers to remain and continue to help the Iraq people free their country of the insurgents. In America we have the right to dissent but not the right to bomb shoot and maim other folks to obtain control or get what we want, this is just what the insurgents are doing. I cannot be Islamic or Muslim, but am convinced that there are many responsible peace loving Islamic people in Iraq and America as well. That being said, I also believe that if the Arab or people from any other nation want to come to America to become citizens and live that they must respect OUR laws and be accountable for their actions.
