I'm afraid Iraqi General Georges Sada is telling American Christians what they want to hear

I heard him speak at my church as well and I winced at his (to me) childishly optimistic, unsupported, and misleading assessment of Christians and freedom of evangelism in Iraq.

Two ex-Moslem Christians I know (both genuine experts in Islam and the current Islamicism situation) both said (with genuine regret, and without prompting by me) that what Sada is saying about Christianity in Iraq is completely misleadingly optimistic.

That is not to question his WMD-to-Syria claim. I suspect the guts of that is true, but he is part of a dog-and-pony show to keep Christian missionary dollars flowing into Iraq and his handlers know what his conservative Christian audiences want to hear.
