Pragmatism 'trumps' principle

Reader comment on item: Why I Just Quit the Republican Party

Submitted by Joel Scott (United Kingdom), Jul 22, 2016 at 03:51

"... the party of Lincoln and Reagan can rebuild."

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! If Hillary becomes President, conservative America is gone forever. It all becomes California.

Trump has genuinely changed his position to right of center, and he is surrounding himself with safer, saner minds who should balance him out.

Regardless, even if he lurches to the right he will still be less damaging than Obama II.

Don't vote for Trump -- vote against Hillary. Vote to keep the lesser evil out of power or you are helping enable the death of freedom, prosperity and American exceptionalism.

Wake up! There is some hope in having Trump in the White House, but there is *none* if Hillary wins.

There is also more danger with Trump in the White House.
