Then do you consider yourself to be described by the lines of "conservatism" that the book, The Conservative Mind: From Burke to Eliot, by Russell Kirk that topped best seller lists in the 1950s?

An advocate and exemplar of the conservative mind was Senator Barry Goldwater AZ-R when he ran for POTUS on its main tenets in 1964

Goldwater shaped the Republican Party's positions on limited government, welfare, and defense, which would carry the United States into the 21st century.
