Bailing was good; now, reorientation

Reader comment on item: Why I Just Quit the Republican Party

Submitted by Larry Behrens (Philippines), Jul 22, 2016 at 02:13

Doctor, welcome into the fold of the independents! The GOP's social blindness, stance gymnastics and timidness in properly managing the more obvious threats to America are the cause of a Trump, not simply a fluke. I suggest you might now find kindred spirits among the conservative base of a growing force: to rudely misquote and paraphrase a fairly brilliant fellow, we should '...give priority to locating, meeting with, funding, forwarding, empowering, and celebrating...' the Libertarians. The philosophy is sound, strongly American, and viable candidates are finally stepping forward.

Regardless where you land, Sir, all the best and thanks for sharing your many insights.
