Unpersuasive Argument by Pipes

Reader comment on item: Why I Just Quit the Republican Party

Submitted by Desmond Dwyer (United States), Jul 21, 2016 at 19:25

I get the impression that Pipes attitude toward Trump is visceral just as like a lot of the Republican establishment whose craven, feckless leadership has been exposed and left wanting in this election cycle. They have themselves to blame for the Trump phenomenon. I have always respected Mr Pipes's opinion on a number of issues but I cannot accept his view of Donald Trump.

Calling Trump a fascist? On what basis? None of Trump's policies have not enacted as yet but ... Has he seen fit to refer to Barack Obama and his policies as fascistic which it is truly is? I get the suspicion that ... Rinos are none too pleased that Trump will not defer to them for whatever reason and they are not happy about it.
