in response to reader comment: Guiding the perplexed with dictionaries

Submitted by Amin Riaz (United Kingdom), Nov 14, 2012 at 21:01

"Our dear Amin the lost tablighee has no clue about how the dictionaries of Arabic and Syriac languages work because if he did he would have found the word name which in Syriac is Shm or Shma and in both Arabic and Syriac the word B means in the et voila Bishm means in the name of"

Ha ha ha . . . it was YOUR nonsense that Bisham is a one word . . . It is ME who pointed out it isn't. Oh dear! How nonsense comes crashing down. . . .

So now . . .Bisham isn't one word . . . but a compound.

Ha ha hah a and EVEN more ignorance of Arabic . . .

Primary meaning of Ba isn't . . . "In" - that is "Fi" في

- - -

I have never claimed to be an expert of Syriac . . . but even I could spot this stupidity a mile off!

When he couldn't find the word in a dictionary . . . then he changed his stance . . . and what does he claim:

"has no clue about how the dictionaries of Arabic and Syriac languages work"

Right . . . so why would I go looking for BIsham - in a Arabic dictionary?

And if I didn't know how an Arabic dictionary works . . . which is hardly rocket science - figuring out how a dictionary works . . . then how come I have been spouting references over your lies - left right and center?
