Reader comment on item: Ankara at War

Submitted by Lujack Skylark (United States), Oct 18, 2012 at 23:31

The Turks could turn the Middle-East on fire broading the Sunni and Shite conflict. Sunni Turkey at odds with Shite Iran, Assad's Shite Syrian government and Shite elements in Hezbullah. Turkey pushing NATO towards conflict may backfire. NATO may stay out of the war against Assad. This could make Assad take bolder steps to widen the conflict should Assad see NATO backing down. Assad would then have his supporters in Lebanon launch an attack on Israel which Israel has promised to take out Assad should he cross that line. Israel will then destroy Damascus like mention in Isaiah chapter 17. War is coming in the Middle-East. Israel stands alone should Obama be reelected.
