Dear Dr Pipes:

Debanjan Banerjee, the great defender of Islamism, will not understand the argument that Burkhas in public are security hazards. He asks me to provide information from authentic sources as to how many robberies have been conducted in banks by people wearing Burkhas. I do not know but I want Banerjee to understand that it is common courtesy that people do not hide their identity when they are in public. And, yes, some crimes have indeed been committed by people wearing burkhas including some suicide bombings. Here is a story from Reuters for Banerjee's kind perusal: http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/08/11/us-pakistan-violence-idUSTRE77A0LE20110811.

Banerjee not only does not understand my argument he changes it and says that biggest robberies in the west are done by bankers wearing three-piece suits. this point is completely irrelevant and so needs no response.
