Erase and Control

Reader comment on item: L'Institut d'Égypte – In Memoriam

Submitted by Jay1 (United States), Dec 27, 2011 at 19:59

It is very hard to understand what rioters and protesters in the Muslim Middle East want these days. It seems to appear as freedom or free speech, then veers into a form of religious anarchy. Crazed intollerant religion or nationalism, in any religion or country, appears to have a need to erase and control. When you seek to write a new world order, bonafide history, antiquities and libraries, (which is really recorded truth), doesnt tow anyones new crazed line. It competes. Places that call for the masses (not the individual) are often asking for fire, not light, which may help explain where the vulnerability of trashing even ones own heritage, is the highest.
