Islam's Destruction of Everything Beautiful

I was close to tears when the Taliban destroyed the beautiful Buddhist statues in Afghanistan in a spate of hatred against anything non-Islamic. It seems that muslims are intent on returning humanity to the dark ages of backwardness, stupidity and ignorance. Worse, religion, specifically Islam is now a serious threat to human survival.

When I visited Egypt in late 2010 I was astonished at how dirty, backward and un-progressive the country was despite the billions rolling in from tourism. At the Great Pyramid there were dozens of tourist buses and one dirty toilet where women queued for half an hour. Cairo is the dirtiest city I have ever visited and it occurred to me that the Egyptians, those who were excellent engineers, architects, builders had been replaced by people who are obviously not descendants.
