Reader comment on item: Columbia University vs. America

Submitted by Paul in Oklahoma (United States), Apr 3, 2003 at 21:24

With the comments coming out of Columbia, and a similar attitude at other universtiies, a parent must ask,,,,,do I really want my kid to go to college? Do I want to pay all those dollars so their brains can be fed poison?

NO, to be perfectly honest, the future may show a trend of young people who will wake up and realize that having a real job where you work and ACTUALLY make something may be the way to go instead of being a paper shuffling, produce nothing leech drawing a big salary because you paid your dues to someplace like columbia.

Do we have everything made in China because its cheaper, or could it be, so many of us went to college that we cannot make anything ourselves?
