Reader comment on item: Columbia University vs. America

Submitted by Mike Hess (United States), Apr 2, 2003 at 10:49

The problem all along has not been a slow disentigration of the concept of national sovereignty brought on by the rise of global terrorist organizations who erode sovereignty by operating with impunity out of sovereign nations. The problem is not that Arab nations have allowed their culture to stagnate after winning the "oil lottery" and being free of the responsibility of having to produce anything. The problem is not that there is a dark underbelly to Islam that wants to see nothing less than the fall of Western Civilization.

The problem is that I'm "stupid" and "insufferable." Just another dumb American not capable of understanding these professors' assertions that their suspicions about this vast oil conspiracy amounts to the same thing as proof.
