Reader comment on item: Columbia University vs. America

Submitted by S. Blackard (United States), Apr 2, 2003 at 10:20

It is time for all peoples sending their children to colleges and/or who are donating or will be donating through wills, trusts, etc. to colleges and universities to examine carefully the philosophies and teachings of the recipient schools.

Presently, we send our children to schools or donate to schools because we graduated from them, they may have a particular major our children want, we like their football team, they are located in our city and/or state, etc.

We fail to realize what these very schools may be espousing political philosophies that are in direct opposition to American ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness under a constitutional republic.

Many large and famous colleges and universities, as Columbia University, harbor many professors who teach that capitalism is wrong, that the United States is always wrong, that socialistic (or communistic) globalism under the auspices of the United Nations is the only true way. They are not teaching to improve or to enlighten but to subvert the constitution of the United States and the American Way of Life.

It is time we WITHOLD our money, support, and children from colleges and universities that are subverting the American Constitutional Republic and seek out colleges and universities that uphold our constitution.
