Brave Words From Base Cowards

Reader comment on item: Columbia University vs. America

Submitted by Kevin Richardson (United States), Apr 2, 2003 at 13:50

Once again, leftist academic elitists who make their living sucking from the teat of the US Dept of Educ. and other taxpayer-funded, anti-American organizations talk a damned fine fight. Safely ensconced behind the ivy walls of Columbia and other outposts of Socialist, Islamist, and anti-white Racist hate, these brave souls bombard us- the poor inhabitants of the real world- with important sounding self-hate. If this is what you have to be and believe to be considered truly educated in America, then just call me ignorant.

I have served with many who could not write or speak with such style, but whose vision, skills, courage, and devotion to duty put these cowards to shame. Where are the academics when we are forced to journey to the lands that occupy so much of their extra-curricular time and literary talents? I have ventured into harm's way often enough to notice that despite their brave and bold words, the professors can't seem to find their way to the sides of those enemies of ours on whose behalf they bluster and boast.
Put up, or shut up.
