Reader comment on item: Columbia University vs. America

Submitted by Gene Biegel (United States), Apr 1, 2003 at 17:25

The average person on the "street" has in recent years, looked upon Columbia and other Ivy League institutions of higher learning as being extremely liberal. Although the President of the School says that the opinions of staff are their own and not sponsored by Administration, to us---ordinary folks---- "If Mommy hits me and Daddy doesn't stop her,He approves of the punishment!"

Mr. Columbia University President, that's what we "ordinary folk" really think!

You and your faculty are so totally liberal that what you guys let those professors tell their students not only bends the truth, but is darn close to being not only anti-American, but treasonous! ...
