Resources for those who value reason, science, and freedom.

Reader comment on item: My Debate with London Mayor Ken Livingstone
in response to reader comment: A word about "moderates"

Those who value reason, science, and freedom should do some research. I've just indicated a few resources here. There are a seemingly endless number of religious web sites; my "favorites" folder is stuffed to overflowing. My most recent addition is the "Cristian Embassy"; among their targets is the Pentagon. I think I've presented enough links here to get people started. This "godly dominion" cult is huge and complex; good luck! As with Islamic totalitarianism, our freedom depends on understanding and countering the enemy--an enemy that's anti-mind and a "culture of misery." Thales must be rolling over in his grave.

"...researcher and author Chip Berlet credits sociologist Sara Diamond with popularizing the term dominionism...."

Dominionism At Wikipedia. Note the links (on the right side of the page) to other parts of a series.

Theocracy Watch A "watch" site with daily news. From Cornell University.

Rapture Also check the "see also" list at the bottom. Look how far the vice of faith can take one. Imagine a major decision maker with this rubish in his/her head. Gross!

Jesus Camp A short movie trailer for the Academy Award nominated documentary. What's being done to these kids is pure evil.

God's Next Army UK Channel 4 documentary about Patrick Henry College. It's around 50min and you can skip the first 2min. This college places people in the White House.

Panda's Thumb An excellent blog run by scientists very concerned with the attacks on evolution. They have a lot of material debunking "Discovery Institute" views.

NCSE National Center For Science Education. The main frontline troops defending evolution. You can sign up for a weekly e-mail newsletter which is a great help in keeping up with what's going on.

The Vice Stategy Undone by Barbara Forrest. Some background about the Kitzmiller/Dover case.; she testified. A paperback edition of her book "Creationism's Trojan Horse: The Wedge of Intelligent Design" is scheduled for publication 3/20/2007 (according to Amazon.com)

Richard Dawkins blog and forum. Plenty of posts about religion's madness. I'm still reading his book "The God Delusion" so I don't know how effective it will be in putting an end to religion. It may help but the whole rotten business won't be swept into the history books without a complete rational philosophy.

The Dark Bible Selected (rather ugly) passages

The Brick Testament A new version of the Bible.

The Prospect Papers A little piece of American history that I didn't get in school. Wonder why?

"You have no more evidence that your Gospel is revelation than the Turks have that their Koran is revelation, and the only difference between them and you is, that they preach their delusion and you preach yours."

Moral Values Without Religion A new start.
