Clash of Civilizations? NO!

I generally have thought of this war as a clash of civilizations but when I read your claim that it is a clash of civilization vs. barbarism I instantly saw your point. You didn't have to prove it. I have a degree in Near East Studies (when things were less liberal in the 1970s) and saw this war on the horizon even then. (I didn't see the downfall of the USSR so soon tho.)

And it's not 'radical Islam' that's the problem. It's Islam in its totality - everything antathetical to Judao-Christianity. There will never be peace nor compromise between the two.
