How Israel can win the war: What war?

Reader comment on item: How Israel Can Win

Submitted by Greg (United States), Apr 4, 2006 at 23:46

Does anyone in the Israeli government think that they are at war, because they sure don't act like they are in one.

They seem more like they are playing a soccer game than a war.

Every opportunity that Israel has had in the past to actually win the war has been thwarted by useless overtures for peace.

What if Israel kept the Sinai instead of returning it?

What if Israel annexed the West Bank instead of turning it over to a terrorist state?

What if Israel demanded that the UN repatriate the losers of the 1967 War instead of letting the UN force Israel to keep them in camps.

What other country has ever given land back to an enemy who forcefully took it from them?

Israel reminds me of the guy who gets t-boned by an SUV that ran a stoplight. "But." he exclaimed, "I had the right of way."

Sometimes, being right is not enough.
