I also agree...HOWEVER....

Reader comment on item: How Israel Can Win

I've read the comments of several respondents here -- and I believe some may have misunderstand Dr. Pipes' suggestions. I believe Dr. Pipes states: "...morale and will matter more" than does a military victory. So for all those who think Dr. Pipes is somehow arguing for a decisive *military* victory, I believe, they are mistaken. Dr. Pipes is arguing for a psychological victory over the "Palestinians," not a military one.

I agree in principle -- but as the cliche goes, the devil is in the details. I would argue for ostracizing and isolating "Pal" Arabs as criminally inclined psychopaths.

But the liklihood of this happening?? Fat chance when you've got yet more cheerleaders of the UN variety (they've never met a terrorist they didn't feel sympathy and understanding for), the EU, etc., etc. and then, when one adds on the rest of the Arab world (the 20 plus countries and all their support for the "Pal" psychos) -- who's left?

What can be done is scratch off what does not work when dealing with murderous psychos... The first is "education." They cannot be "educated" -- moral lessons do not work. Nor does punishment -- you can inflict all the punishment you want and it goes disregarded (another bit of evidence to support a contention re: the psychopathology of Arabs).

Wealth and job creation also does not work (contrary to the delusional musings of a Shimon Peres or anyone of the Peace Now variety.) One of the more depressing articles I happened across was one written by David Frum when he went to Doha, Qutar (in February) to debate the issue with respect to Hamas forming a "Pal" government. The Arabs of Qutar were materially well off -- well educated -- wealthy -- technologically advanced -- certainly not at all impoverished or in the Middle Ages -- yet, their minds are as dark as anything out of the 7th century -- still as primitive, murderous and morally backwards as ever. Frum, needless to say, lost the debate. (The women were all dutifully attired in their black bags -- covered head to toe -- then try debating a "human rights" issue with such slaves -- believe me, it's a lost cause).

I can hardly wait until the "Pals" start enforcing Islamic law -- Shariah law in the territories -- I just hope Kofi Annan and all those EU big-wigs get a spectator's seat -- they can all applaud as limbs are loped off, gays strung up, and women stoned. It's what the EU and UN have been striving for... and Europe's next. (as I laugh -- just keep them out of Canada!)
