Reader comment on item: Americans Wake Up to Islamism
in response to reader comment: absolutely agree

Mr. Pipes, you tout the "moderate muslim" as the solution. But I have yet to be shown what a "moderate muslim" IS, or DOES. Since the koran has nothing good to say about people who are not muslim, what would the supposed "moderate muslim" say about non-muslim people? Since the koran decrees 'world conquest', by the sword, in the name of islam, what would the "moderate muslim" say about that? We all know that the list of hateful ideas about non-muslims, put forth in the koran, are numerous. The imaginary "moderate muslim" would have to repudiate every one of these ideas. Show me a "moderate muslim" who does this — and then show me 5 million more, so I can believe that most of the muslims living in America are truly "moderate muslims" who desire to live in peace with al other Americans. What's the email address for the League of Moderate Muslims? I'd like to read their manifesto. I admire your work in this area, but I suspect that you "...can't see the forest for the trees."

Note that my comment has been very "moderate". I have not called for burning down every mosque in America, as I usually do. I have not called for the incarceration and deportation of every muslim in America, as I usually do. I AM willing to learn. Teach me the REALITY of "moderate islam" — if it exists.
