Imam Rauf says he is a Sufi, and depicts Sufis as Islamic Flower-Children, reciting Rumi, dancing and singing. How nice. And how fatuous and disingenuous.

There are NO Sufis in the regimes of The Islamic Conference, of members of the Taliban or al-Queda for certain, Sufis were often seen as heretics by normative Islam,-many assasinated by the "True Believers". The intellectual dishonesty displayed in the discussion of "Ground Zero" mosque is amazing..

Imam Rauf is telling us that he is a "Good""Muslim, against terrorism, etc. and at the same time a "Good Muslim" who believes in the revealed Truth of the Koran. He is wearing two feet in one shoe, and "moderate'"Muslims such as he, are called "chocolate Muslims" by the Jihad crowd. The teddy-bear huggers will happily consume his sugar-coated version of the Koran, though. Ask him what his interpretation is of "Jihad, dar-al Harb, and did Mohammed really fly to Jerusalem on the back of a winged steed, al-Buraq.? His casuastry should be laughable. I wonder if he will invite felow Sufi Sheik Professor Abdul Hadi Palazzi, who has said .."hostilty for Israel has been a great mistake.."and also invite Wafa Sultan, Irshad Manji, Ayan Hirsi Ali, Nonie Darwish and Ibn Warraq and such, to appear at his "Cultural Center". Another example of Pious Fraud.,and Taquiyah. What was his stance on the Salman Rushdie affair?
