More historical anology than realised by No-Santa Claus

in response to reader comment: A historical anology

"Muslims today are emboldened by the economic plunder of the industrialized nations by Saudi-led OPEC"

That is a good historical analogy. When Mohammed and his immediete successors defeated Byzantine and Persian armies , there was large scale loot by the Arab muslims. They set themselves up as the ruling class and looted even more. But the areas under their control DID NOT immedietely become Muslim. Perhaps even 300 hundred years of those conquests , the majority of people in Middle east were Christians or Zorastrains. Slowly the Arab ruling elites squeezed more and more wealth of non-Muslims and perhpas it was not before 12th century the majority were Muslims.

Perhaps Muslims are trying a similar strategy of living off the industrialised world even while being a parasite on them financially, economically and otherwise with the hope one day more people in the industrialised countries will become Muslim. Richer Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran overcharge for petrol and thrive; poorer Muslim countries send millions of poor immigrants not to richer Muslim countries, but to non-Muslim countries where they have a permanant sense of resentment, inferioty complex and longing for sharia.
