How History Repeats Itself, Sadly

Reader comment on item: Americans Wake Up to Islamism

First of all, thank you Daniel for your rock-solid persistence on defending freedom.

Sometimes freedom comes at a cost...the cost being the deprivation of other freedoms such as the flagrant exercise of DUPLICITY, in this case used by Islam.

This of course isn't new:

The Nazis used duplicity to avoid early action against Hitler when he was still a weak political organization; but when he gained strength and saw that his blatant actions did not cause inital reactions, guess what? Millions died to correct a tragic wrong...even unspeakable horrors like genocide.

Or the Japanese efforts to quiet any fears of aggression back in WWII, and this duplicity resulted in the Peal Harbor attack (and another theater of war at the cost of millions of lives).

Or Communism, whose spread was at a cost of millions of lives with the promise of equality to all...yes, everyone was deprived equally...!

Islam's duplicity clearly comes with words of peace and conciliation, but it's not that really. Like the Nazis, the imperial Japanese at the time of WWII, the Soviet Communists, AND Islam, their motto:

"Join us, and if not, you will be treated like a second class citizen (in some cases even killed)."

What about the persecutions of Christians and Jews in Muslim-dominated countries (and please let us not deny this reality). In some countries (like Saudi Arabia for example) they even have sectors that cater to non-Muslims, I suppose fearing that these "Dhimmis" will contaminate the general Muslim population!

Let us not fall into the intellectually narcotic state of ignorance and deny the veiled (no pun intended) intentions of Islam: world domination through coersion (both soft and hard coersion).

I'm afraid that the United States in no longer the champion that it was during WWII: defending the free world from "other freedoms" that are in fact veiled intolerance.
