I like a lot of what you have to say about Jesus, my Savior and LORD – he did come to 'fulfill' the Law – he was the 'exemplar' of keeping the Law – so much so that no one was able to 'convince him of any sin' – and yet 'they' convicted him in a mock trial and had him put to death. Jesus said to some Jews 'If the Son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed' – free from what, the Jews asked – Jesus answered that they were enslaved to sin and subject to death thereby – but if they would believe in him, he would free them from their 'bondage' and give them life eternal.

Paul said exactly the same things, although it different words, Paul quotes the Tanakh and says that 'Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness' – isn't that exactly what Jesus said – if we believe in him, he will free us from the penalty of our sins and give us eternal life. Jesus said 'to love God with all our being and to love our neighbor as ourselves' is the fulfillment of all the Law. Paul said that the Law is fulfilled in one word 'love' – that while there remain three things – Faith – Hope – Love – the greatest of these is Love. Paul said that the Law was good and spiritual – but its purpose was to point out the sin in our lives and to bring us to repentance and acceptance of Jesus as our LORD and Savior. Jesus demonstrated that only he could truly keep the Law – through his perfect life and death – those who trust in his righteousness will receive life.

Jesus said 'they will hate you because they hated me first' – this is the real cause for the schism between Jews and Christians – unfortunately the Church returned hatred for hatred – in direct opposition to the command of Jesus to continue to love in the face of hatred – I cannot explain nor do I condone this behavior. Read Chapter 9 of Romans to view the true love Paul bore for his countrymen – the Jews – you are truly mistaken in your views concerning him.
