Abrahamic 'Stewpot' Religions

in response to reader comment: Abrahamic religions

Thank GOD you live in the U S of A and not in an Islamic country... I am a Christian and my reaction to your words is mere chagrin – I harbor no ill feeling toward you for your opinion. Unless, of course, you are suggesting any impingement of my ‘constitutional right' to freely practice my ‘religion'. The Christianity of the New Testament (like the ‘Judaism' of the Tanakh) does not make it mandatory for everyone in the world to practice Christianity (‘Judaism') to the exclusion of all other religions. While there are ‘consequences' for the individual who rejects the revelation of GOD, those consequences are dealt with in eternity and IF, as you are likely to suggest, there is no eternity – well then, you don't have anything to worry about. You see, as a Christian, I can live with you not being a Christian. Islam, on the other hand, has somewhat of a problem with anyone not being Muslim. For ‘the religion must be all for Allah'. Islam will make every effort to ‘convert' the world to itself. A true Muslim cannot live with you not being a Muslim. You will either submit to Allah or, seeing as you are not a ‘person of the book', you will die. Only ‘people of the book' are allowed the option of living in subjection to Muslims (dhimmitude).
