moderately censured by moderate Muslims

Reader comment on item: On Islam and Islamism

Canadians have an emerging and very serious problem coming to the fore with Islamist and their attacks on the Canadian Charter of Rights. They are manipulating and abusing the nature and spirit of the Canadian Human Rights Commision to attack freedom of speech and the freedom of the press.

On a similar note there is a "Canadian" Muslim in Saudi-Arabia about to have his head chopped off for killing a Saudi youth in a school yard, and while his fellow Muslims cry for sharia in Canada, they want Prime Minister Harper to intervene in Saudi-Arabian courts hopeful his influence will overturn the system of judgments they want instituted in Canada. Any one else baffled by the machinations of the Canadian Islamic Council.

I personally believe that if "moderate" Moslems are to have any opportunity to overcome "radical" Islam then these Islamic Councils must be first to go. They are hot beds for social activist vying for domination and total control over the local Muslim population. Hitler did the same with his social unions. As the Communist did with their cadres and cells. Indoctrination and close observation by local political/ religious totalitarianism. There is just no place for that behavior in a free, secular society and we had better wake up to that fact before the superliberals have us all bending over backwards just to prove we hold no bias.

The 60's pop psychology of I'm o.k, your o.k surely sent the liberals into a death spiral that may not be recoverable to save their own children from intellectual servitude. I see in the news that the Americans closed the web site that was to air the Dutch fellows expose on the Koran. Another freedom gone in the name of appeasement. Heaven forbid anyone could actually make up their own mind if a subject was done in poor taste. We have to have public censures for our own protection. Do ya feel all warm and safe yet?
