Radical Islam

Reader comment on item: On Islam and Islamism
in response to reader comment: Islam is all radical!!!

Submitted by Imam Ahmed Syeed Ali Muhammed (United States), Apr 1, 2008 at 16:28

As a Muslim I don't see a problem with people of other religions. I respect everyone, and thier beliefs, just as I expect them to respect mine. I believe Islam can be radical, just as christianity can be, and has at times been radical. But I also believe there are people Muslim and christian, or of any other faith that are genuinely honest, peace loving people.

I like to think of myself as one, because I want to give my children the best example of how a person should act in society as I can. They are part Nigerian, and they know a little about what is going on in thier mothers' country between Muslims, and Christians, It's up to me to try and educate them on these things as well as others that they learn about so they don't have to go on stereotypes that would lead them to hate a person because of thier spiritual, or ethnic backgrounds.
