There is aya says in surat Al-Waqia : (74) Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - (75) And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew

In arabic languge if you are saying about the thing Nay, I swear by ( that thing ) just to show how it is great and true the point your talking about, so GOD this used this way in the Quran to show how the Quran is great! lets come back to the oath. As we know that the sun is a star, and the time that the light of the sun take to reach the earth is 8 min and something, and all we know how much the sun is far from us ( something like 150 milion klm ) so the truth is that we just see a place of the sun of 8 min ago! I think your choked after this! let me tell you one more thing
how long it take the light to come from the closer start to the earth after the sun!? ( the scientists said that it takes 4.3 light year! and one light year = 9.5 million million Klm ) we see the light of the star of 50 months ago! during this time the start could change it place or it could desapair even!

Also the scientists said some stars that we see in the drakness of the night was death long time ago and we just still recive its light!

(74) Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - (75) And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - (76) That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an (77) In a Book kept hidden (78) Which none toucheth save the purified, (79) A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.

( sourat El waqia) ayat 74-75-76-77-78-79-80

sorry for my english guys!
