Dear Mr. Christophe; Your experience with Islamic bigotry is just another example of the fraudulent nature of many organized religions. Rather than supporting its adherents, Islam obviously seeks to exploit them. The Imam's constant demand for money and favors illustrates quite clearly that it is a cult and a scam.

Unfortunately, much of Christianity is the same way, with televangelists berating crowds of worshippers to send more money to the coffers so that they can drive around in Bentleys and Rolls-Royces while others starve. Apparently you have found some solice in Buddhism, one of the more benign religions that does not believe in deities, and this should be a clue to anyone seeking solace in religion. All religions that speak of deities tend to become oppressive, exploitive and quite often violent as well. Hinduism is another example with its rigid and oppressive caste system that has historically oppressed millions of people as being "Pariahs" or "Untouchables." Buddhism, Taoism and several other Eastern religions which do not speak of deities are genuinely supportive to spiritual development and, as positive philosophies of life, can do much to soothe the soul. Best of luck in your future and all that you do.
