Afghanistan and IraqReader comment on item: 100 Bin Ladens on the Way? Submitted by David Bettino (United States), Apr 10, 2003 at 21:16 There are a few feuding warlords in Afghanistan right now. Everybody's vying, many of them with US support. I have heard quite a different story about Afghanistan, leading me to belive, infact, that the country is in utter turmoil. Also, I have heard from specialists interviewed on BBC radio that enlistment for Al Qaeda has actually increased. If the 'allies remove themselves from controlling Iraq', then how will they be able to afford to implement a democracy? I haven't heard anything from Washington but speculation. This one's a bit off-topic... Are we, the citizens of the United States, being expected to support, with our tax dollars, an effort to bring free health care to the people of Iraq? My parents can't even get health care! Where do we expect this money to come from? I'm not stating any positions, here. I just wanted to play devil's advocate.
