Pictures are the proofReader comment on item: 100 Bin Ladens on the Way? Submitted by Richard L. Vogel (United States), Apr 9, 2003 at 13:11 After watching the pictures this morning of hundreds of Iraqis pulling down a statue of Saddam Hussein, I believe that militant Islam is waning. Seeing an American marine holding a pre-1980 Iraqi flag and an Iraqi holding an American flag only is more proof that people, all people, want to be free from tyranny and despots. What is happening in Iraq, and we are surely not done with this war, will happen all across the Middle East. We have a President who sees things as black and white and has the moral clarity and fortitude to do what he says. People love being free and as other Muslims see the joy and happiness that has enveloped Iraq and her people, they will want the feeling also. We have some definite work to do in Iraq but the seed has been planted and it will grow like the weeds in your lawn after a spring rain.
